Shelter Island Country Club, also known as "Goat Hill," is a Public, 9 hole golf course located in Shelter Island Heights, New York. The course sits on one the highest points on the island with views of Peconic Bay and Dering Harbor.
The golf course dates to 1901.
This is an old, traditional course. The fairways are wide open, and the small greens vary in undulation. Only two greens can be seen from the tee boxes. There aren't any water hazards, but there are several sand bunkers on the course. The entire course is very hilly. Out-of-bounds stakes line seven holes. %u200B
The signature hole is # 9, a 201-yard, par 3, requiring a tee shot from a hill overlooking the clubhouse to an elevated green.
Blue tees: par-33, 2,512 yards
Red tees: par-34, 2,103 yards
